Book of Ra Deluxe is a new and improved version of the classic slot game originally created by AGI. Having become extremely popular in its original form, many players have found the enhanced 3D experience to be even better, bringing the same slot principles into their homes with new graphics and a refined experience.

The new immersive slot game features a number of changes to bring it completely up to date, but still incorporates all of the familiar features that made the original so popular. Based on the Ancient Egyptians, a world of pharaohs and pyramids awaits against the traditional backdrop of three rows and five reels. Players win prizes by matching two or more symbols across the reels, with the added bonus of being able to use the Book of Ra symbol as a wild card.

The regular game incorporates ten win lines, with the ultimate objective being to match five symbols across any win line. The Book of Ra acts as both the game’s joker and also as the scatter symbol. As is common on many slot machines, a certain symbol takes players to the bonus round if three are matched anywhere across the five reels, and Book of Ra is no different. What’s more, the Book of Ra can act as both a wild symbol and scatter symbol at the same time, offering increased pay outs on certain spins.

The game is played using currency rather than coins or other substitute values, increasing transparency and making it much easier to interpret the included pay tables. The selected amount is always displayed, and can be modified using the increase or decrease buttons within the gaming layout itself. When the correct amount is chosen, players can begin the game by simply pressing ‘Start’. Alternatively, the machine also incorporates an auto play function, where the player can select the number of automatic spins, and sit back and watch as the game plays out in front of them.

As soon as the player achieves a winning spin, the ‘Gamble’ button becomes active. Book of Ra’s gamble function is based on a standard game of higher or lower using playing cards. When the button is pressed, a history of the last six cards drawn is displayed to assist in decision making. The player then simply chooses higher or lower. If they are correct, their prize amount is doubled. If they are wrong, then their prize from the spin and any previous gambles on that prize are lost, and they are returned to standard gameplay.

The free spin game of Book of Ra is activated when using the Book symbol as a scatter, whereby three symbols on any reel gives the player ten free spins. The stake amount is directly carried over from the original winning spin. In addition, one symbol is selected at random as a bonus. When this symbol appears and forms part of a winning spin, the win value is multiplied by the number of pay lines in play. The value itself can be found at any time by checking the built-in pay table.
